Makenna Paradis

Physiotherapy Intern

Makenna graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Biology. She is now pursuing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at George Washington University.

Makenna is interning at YSP for her 12-week rotation and is excited to learn from and alongside our physiotherapists during her time here. She is passionate about preventative interventions, overall health and wellness, pain neuroscience and providing individualized treatment to help clients reach their goals.

In her time off, she likes to read thrillers at new cafes and check out Sydney’s iconic beaches. She also loves playing soccer with friends and trying new food. Currently, she’s focusing on her own treatment while recovering from knee surgery, with future plans of training for a half marathon.

Makenna practices with empathy as she knows first-hand the layers and personal implications an injury can have.
